Chin Chin Restaurant, part of the Lucas Group is a well-established organisation experiencing exciting organic growth in the next 12 months, we are seeking to expand our operations. We continue build a solid foundation in being the best at what we do which is in providing our customers with exceptional dining experience. Renowned for our quality of food, exceedingly uncompromised reputation and superior customer service, there are new opportunities for passionate Creative Patisserie Technician to join our production crew in Moorabbin.
You will be working closely with our highly experienced Head Chef’s to create 5-6 new dessert dishes and roll it out into production and liaise with respective operations and place it on the menu’s at respective venues.
To be successful for the role you will have:
• A passion for Italian pastry and south east asian desserts The ability to work autonomously
• The ability to make everything from scratch
• An eye for detail
• The desire to join a growing company
• Previous experience in high end a la carte venue
• Be able to multi-task
• A great understanding of food safety/hygiene and OHS requirements.
• A need for passionate at what you do
• Ability to perform in high pressure service periods (lunch and dinner).
• Ability to train other colleagues.
• Work well in sections of the kitchen.
• a passion for the industry and personal development
Essential skills for the position are:
• Good communication skills and the ability to work part of a team
• Able to take direction and follow leadership from Head Chef
• Professional approach within the team
